Michael Jung American, 1936-2022 Timer at a Window Acrylic paint with assemblage This is a good example of the way in which Michael Jung balanced abstract and representational concerns as an artist. Looking through a window the viewer sees a green and white form that might be a butterfly. The literal addition of the timer face at the side of the window frame and the metal piece at the bottom creates an interesting interpretive tension. This painting is stretched but not framed.
