Fritz Janschka (Austria/Pennsylvania, 1919-2016) Surreal painting on board, 1977, signed and dated. Unframed. Size: 11'' x 10'', 28 x 25 cm (board). Artist Bio: A painter, sculptor, and graphic artist, Janschka studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and was a founding member of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. He arrived in Philadelphia in 1949. For more than thirty years, he was a professor of fine art at Bryn Mawr College. Provenance: Private Pennsylvania Collection (by descent to present owner).
