Josef Mansfeld, Stillleben, feines Ölgemälde von 1888, gerahmt Josef Mansfeld, 1819 - Wien -1894, österreichischer Maler, Stillleben mit Äpfeln, Zeitung, Wein und Tee, Öl/Holz, ca. 31 x 27 cm, sign. u. dat., im zeitgenössischen dunkelbraun lackiertem Rahmen mit Goldinnenleiste Zum Künstler: Josef Mansfeld studierte ab 1833 an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien. Mansfeld malte hauptsächlich Stillleben, seltener Porträts und manchmal Genrebilder. Seit 1845 nahm er an den Kunstausstellungen teil. Die Revolution 1848 fand in den Bildern Mansfelds ebenfalls ihren Niederschlag.
