(Irish, 1770-1832) red crayon on card, circa 1800, inscribed lower right "Ramell", sight 8-1/8 x 6-1/4 in., gilt wood frame with french mat, 12-3/4 x 10-3/4 in. Note: Window on reverse of frame shows pencil annotation to verso of drawing, "Done by Comerford the miniature painter, when he came to Rosama [Rossanaugh, County Wicklow] to paint Mr. & Mrs. Dighe, of a pretty maid called Ramell."
