American, 1929-2017 Adele’s Class Ring, 1964 Liquitex on Masonite 36 x 30 inches (91.4 x 76.2 cm) Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist by Ernst Benkert Thence by descent in the family Provenance: Martha Jackson Gallery, New York (36 1/2 x 30 1/2 x 1 inches) Frame rubbing and scattered edge wear. Some areas where underpaint has seeped through paint surface, most apparent along edges in background at center left and right, and below. A pinhead-sized droplet of yellow pigment at lower right. A few light vertical white scuffs at lower right.
