Lot description
JACK LORIMER GRAY New York/Canada, 1927-1981 "Dares' Point, Herring Fishing Near Nova Scotia". Fine example of the artist's most desirable subject matter, with a wonderful feeling of motion in the waves. Depicts two men working a double-ended fishing dory, one man working the tiller while the other handles the nets. At the horizon is a single house on a spit of land and seagulls swooping around a green-hulled fishing boat. Signed lower right "Jack Gray". Titled verso.
