Artist: Hajime Namiki (1947-  ) Title: Red and Orange Tall Tree  Origin: Japan, 1999 Medium: Woodblock Print on Paper Dimensions:  20x20.25 in Additional Information: This modern woodblock print features a yellow and orange tree in the foreground with great detail in its branches and texture. The tree's colors graduate from a dark orange into a lighter orange and yellow at the top. Surrounding the tree is a golden printed background that is flat. The scene is peaceful and simple. The print is hand-signed on the bottom and also includes the print number 110/200, and other artists' stamps and markings. Hajime originally trained as a sculptor, but he transitioned to woodblock printing in the late 1970s and typically stuck with nature and tree themes.   An in-person inspection is available for all auctions.
