Samuel Lipchytz (Lipszyc), (1880 -1943) Art Deco sculpture of a water carrier, circa 1920 Silvered bronze, ivory, onyx 56.5cm high Ivory Submission reference VHK642XJ Footnote Samuel Lipchytsz (1880 Pabianitz - 1943 Auschwitz) was a Polish-French sculptor who worked in Paris in the early 20th Century. Similar to his contemporary Demétre Chiparus, he specialized in female figures and dancers. He exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1918 to 1935.
