Alexander Ballingall (United Kingdom/Scotland, c.1850 - c.1910/11) watercolor on paper titled "On the Grand Canal, Venice" depicting several sailing vessels maneuvering through the waters on the Grand Canal. Signed and dated 1907 lower left and titled lower right. Title and artist's name penciled on tape en verso. Housed in a molded gilt wood frame. Sight: 16 3/4" H x 28 3/4' W. Framed: 28 3/4" H x 39" W. PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
