A Gentleman in an Embroidered Jacket Holding a Letter Inscribed Mons / Sev... on the letter 31 3/4 x 23 1/2 inches (80.8 x 59.8 cm) Unframed Parke-Bernet Galleries, November 3, 1961, lot 276. Glue relined. Areas of restoration in the background and on the jacket. Shadows around the jaw reinforced. Repaired hole in the background to the left and just above the gentleman's head. Some contours and shadows reinforced. Some restoration around the edges from frame rubbing.
