James Wells CHAMPNEY (1843–1903) Mademoiselle Doré Pastel on paper In the original Louis XV-style gilt frame with the artist's printed labels to the back 65.5 x 53cm, oval OTHER NOTES: After the painting by François Hubert Drouais (1727–1775) of around 1760 now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (acc. no. 600-1882).
