Albert Mohr, French, American, born 1918, oil painting on canvas depicting an Impressionist scene with a lady in a field landscape. Signed lower right. Framed. Albert Mohr is known for Impressionist figure and floral landscape painting. Albert Mohr was born in Paris, France in 1918. He studied at the Art Student League in New York for five years and worked as an illustrator but soon became aware of his love for painting. Albert painted serenity and happiness with the human figure as the dominant force. He was greatly influenced by Marc Chagall. Albert paints the impression of a scene without concentrating on its details. To Mohr, the facts of the subject are less important than his response to them.
