André Beaudin attended the École des Arts décoratifs from 1911 to 1915. In 1919 he married the painter Suzanne Roger (1898-1986) and met Juan Gris in 1922. Beaudin held his first solo exhibition in Paris in 1923, at the Galerie Percier, with a foreword by Max Jacob, and thereafter, with his painting championed by Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler, he exhibited regularly in France and abroad, participating in the major group exhibitions of the post-war École de Paris painters. In November 1962, Beaudin was awarded the Prix National des Arts. A few years later, at the request of the architect Édouard Albert, he created a mosaic for the Faculty of Science at Jussieu, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. Between 1964 and 1966, he created several original sculptures and decorations in collaboration with the Manufacture de Sèvres. He decorated the ceiling of the Rueil-Malmaison chapel with Pierre Simonini.
