Hans Weiß-Aue, Bauernhaus im Vorfrühling einsames, von Schneeresten umgebenes Gehöft in bergiger Landschaft, Tusche und Aquarell auf leichtem Karton, Mitte 20. Jh., links unten monogrammiert "H. W.-A.", auf Unterlagekarton montiert, Blattmaße ca. 37,5 x 48 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigtl. Hans Weiß, dt. Maler und Grafiker (1914 Aue bis 1984 Aue), zur Unterscheidung anderer gleichnamiger Künstler nannte er sich auch Hans Weiß-Aue, von 1929 bis 1933 Ausbildung zum Musterzeichner an der Staatlichen Zeichenschule für Textilindustrie in Schneeberg, dort später Dozent und Direktor, Arbeit als Musterzeichner in Falkenstein/Vogtl., später Tätigkeit in Zwickau, Leipzig und Chemnitz, ab 1945 als freischaffender Maler in Aue und Lehrer für Kunsterziehung an der Volkshochschule in Aue und an der Berufsschule in Zwickau, 1951 Umzug nach Schneeberg, 1945 einer der Organisatoren der Kunstausstellung Befreite Kunst in Aue und im November 1945 Gründungsmitglied der Ortsgruppe des Kulturbundes, Mitglied des Verbands Bildender Künstler der DDR, ab 1973, zusammen mit anderen einheimischen Künstlern wie Kurt Teubner, Ernst Hecker oder Helmut Humann Nutzung eines Ausstellungspavillons Bildende Kunst am Altmarkt, wo er seine Aquarelle und Holzschnitte auch zum Verkauf anbot, seine Werke sind im Schloss Schlettau in der Sammlung Erzgebirgische Landschaftskunst zu sehen, Quelle: Wikipedia. Artist information: actually Hans Weiß, German painter and graphic artist (1914 Aue to 1984 Aue), to distinguish himself from other artists of the same name he also called himself Hans Weiß-Aue, from 1929 to 1933 trained as a pattern draughtsman at the State Drawing School for the Textile Industry in Schneeberg, later lecturer and director there, worked as a pattern draughtsman in Falkenstein/Vogtl, later worked in Zwickau, Leipzig and Chemnitz, from 1945 as a freelance painter in Aue and teacher of art education at the adult education centre in Aue and at the vocational school in Zwickau, 1951 moved to Schneeberg, 1945 one of the organisers of the art exhibition Liberated Art in Aue and in November 1945 founding member of the local chapter of the Kulturbund, Member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR, from 1973, together with other local artists such as Kurt Teubner, Ernst Hecker and Helmut Humann, use of a visual arts exhibition pavilion on the Altmarkt, where he also offered his watercolours and woodcuts for sale, his works can be seen in Schlettau Castle in the Erzgebirgische Landschaftskunst collection, source: Wikipedia.
