Immerse in the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Montparnasse, he crossed paths with renowned painters from La Ruche and key figures of l'Ãcole de Paris, including the likes of Chaim Soutine, Marc Chagall, and Amedeo Modigliani. His artistic exploration led him to the studio of André Lhote, where the vivid palette of French Cubism and themes steeped in realism resonated profoundly with his aesthetic sensibilities. This immersion in Lhote's creative environment marked a pivotal chapter in Boris Chemetov's artistic evolution. Amidst the tumultuous period of the Second World War, he sought refuge in the South of France. Following the return of peace, Boris Chemetov rekindled his artistic fervor, dedicating himself to his craft. His subsequent works bore the influences of Cubism, Constructivism, and the world of Russian ballets, shaping a unique artistic narrative.
