French, 1888-1969 View of a Fortified Town, circa 1922 Signed LASCAUX (lr) Oil on canvas 28 3/4 x 23 3/4 inches (73 x 60.3 cm) (Frame dimensions: 32 1/4 x 27 3/4 x 2 inches) Remnant label with date 1922 affixed to the reverse. Not examined out of the frame. Frame abrasion with associated wear to edges. Some stretcher impressions. Scattered areas of drying cracks. Two small punctures towards the center of the image. Could benefit from a cleaning.
