Raymond Voinquel (1912-1994) Raymond Voinquel (1912-1994) L'OUVRIER DU "DIABLE AU CORPS", 1947. Silver gelatin print, printed later, image size 303 x 245mm, sheet size 404 x 305mm, signed by the photographer in felt-tip pen lower left margin recto, titled and dated by the photographer in pencil verso, with Voinquel's copyright credit reproduction limitation stamp verso. Framed, frame size 430 x 535mm. Voinquel was an on-set photographer during the filming of the 1947 film "Le Diable au Corps", directed by Claude Autant-Lara, and starring Gérard Philipe, Micheline Presle, and Denise Grey. The film was based on the 1923 novel by Raymond Radiguet, and Voinquel's images from the set were also included in a 1947 special edition re-issue of the book, published by Ãditions du Trois-Mâts, which also included illustrations by Jean Boullet. **Proceeds from the sale of this lot will go directly to Positively UK: a charity, ran by and for people living with HIV.
