'Waterval bij Lawang', (waterfall near Lawang), signed 'W. v.d. Does' (lower left), oil on canvas, 100x70 cm, , , Presumably this painting has been exhibited at the Concordia hall in Surabaya, September 1932. The Soerabaijsch Handelsblad ('Surabaya Newspaper') of 2 September 1932 contains a review of the Willem van der Does exhibition, then running in Concordia hall. The writer explicitly names "the waterfall at Lawang" as: "very realistic; the light masses of water crashing on limestone do contrast sharply against the dark surroundings".
