ARMIN HOFMANN (1920-2020) TEMPEL UND TEEHAUS IN JAPAN. 1957. 50 1/4x35 1/2 inches, 127 1/2x90 1/4 cm. Buchdruckerei VSK, Basel. Condition A- / B+: small loss in upper right corner; tear at right edge; creases at edges and in image. Paper. Hofmann studied in Zürich and later settled in Basel, where he opened a studio and started teaching. He was a master typographer and, over the years, developed a design standard based on consistent and rational principles aimed at creating timeless images. Swiss Graphic Design p. 195, MoMA 383.1963.
