pencil and ink on thin cardboard Original comic art made by Rubino for an episode of his Lio Balilla, published on the first page of the newspaper Il Balilla n. 10 year V in 1927. After nineteen years at the CdP, a real point of reference in the editorial staff of the newspaper, Rubino decided to leave the Milanese masthead to join the regime newspaper Il Balilla, pushed by a «absolute need to carry out my activity in a less apolitical field and in a more lively and combative way»; Rubino will work at Balilla for only three years, from ´27 to ´29, which makes the tables from this period extremely rare to find.
