The Stone Garden by Hide Kawanishi (Kobe,1894 –1965) Color woodblock with blind stamping, pencil signed, titled and dated 1959. Part of the Japanese 'creative print' movement in the two first decades after WWII. His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1932 Summer Olympics. 18" x 23" unframed.
