Signed and dated lower left: Giui Cammarano F. 1835 Giuseppe Cammarano was court painter to King Ferdinand I of Sicily and created numerous works for the furnishings of Caserta Castle. Among other things, he also painted a portrait of the king in the company of his large family (today Museo Capodimonte, Naples).
