Father Time amid scenes of works of mercy and Christian virtues. From a rare series of three prints : "Moralizing Allegories of Time". Engraving made circle of Gerard de Jode (1509-1591). Published by him in Antwerp ca 1547-1591. Hollstein Dutch 296. n good condition. Printed on laid paper trimmed on and just in the left and below margins, the other margins are 6-8 mm. A Stain of old brown ink in the right below corner. Very rare
