Arthur Midy, Bei der Feldarbeit, Ölgemälde Le Faouët/Bretagne um 1910/15, originale Rahmung Arthur Midy,1877 Saint-Quentin - 1944 Le Faouët, französischer Landschafts- und Genremaler, ab 1893 Studium an der École des Beaus-Arts in Paris, ab 1900 an der Académie Julian, 1905 entdeckte er die Bretagne und ließ sich nach 1909 dort nieder. 1909 erster Ankauf eines Gemäldes durch die französische Regierung aus dem Salon, ab 1912 war er dort regelmäßig vertreten, hier: Zwei Bretonen bei der Feldarbeit im Spätsommer, postimpressionistisches Öl/Lw, 54 x 50 cm, in sehr gutem Originalzustand, l. u. sign. u. bez.
