William Henry Davis (1786-1865) British, portrait of a prize winning sheep, oil on canvas, signed and dated 1850, inscribed 'RAS's 1st Prize at Exeter 1850', 20.5" x 27", in a fine maple frame. N.B. this picture was used as the front cover illustration on Richard Garne's book 'Cotswold Yeoman and Sheep'.
