William Biscombe Gardner (English, 1847 - 1919), "Sheepherder", 1881, watercolor, depicts coastal scene with steep cliffs leading into the water, sheep and rocky out-croppings dot the hill in foreground which is topped with figures around stone monument, signed lower left, dated 1881, framed and matted under glass, not examined out of frame, wear consistent with age including toning and waving of mat, sold as found, ss: 5 1/2" h. x 8 1/2" w.
