CONRAD MARTIN METZ (Bonn 1749-1827 Rome) The Triumph of Galatea. Pen and brown ink and wash with white gouache heightening on cream wove paper with a prepared brown ground. 270x410mm; 10 3/4x16 inches. Signed and dated "Roma 1817" (?) in ink, lower recto. Provenance: Christie's, London, December 1992; private collection, New York.
