Robin Wessman is a contemporary realist oil painter from Eastham inspired by life on the Cape. He is a graduate of UMASS Dartmouth (BFA) and Ohio University (MFA) and was featured in Cape Cod Art 2017. He is known for his Cape Cod landscapes and whimsical still life paintings that include common objects in unusual settings. The one constant in all his work is the exploration of light and how it affects form and creates atmosphere. His approach to painting is to work in stages starting from life and progressing through a series of refinements that pushes technical craftsmanship to create images that capture the viewer’s attention and holds them long enough to feel some connection that delivers pleasure. www.wessmanart.com
