On tracing paper with a black ink border mounted to a sheet of blue wove paper. 167 x 130 mm. (6 9/16 x 5 1/8 in.) Venice; Plaza with Basilica and Tower. Graphite, gray wash, black ink and blue crayon, c. 1930. Initialed "HAW" with gray watercolor, l.r. On cream wove paper with black crayon border all around edges of the sheet mounted onto a sheet of blue wove paper. 140 x 119 mm. (5 1/2 x 4 5/8 in.) Toulon (Cote d'Azur). Blue crayon, gray and brown wash and white opaque, c. 1930 Initialed with brown ink "HAW", l.r.
