Lot description

Inscribed, signed and dated "July/ R.F/1732" Son of the painter Pieter Casteels II, from whom he learned the technique, Pieter Casteels III specialized in still lifes, both of flowers and of fruits and vegetables; although we can also find within his production still lifes of hunting with birds and other animals. His compositions are characterized by their opulent and decorative tone as can be seen in this work, dated 1732, which stands out for the wide range of its floral repertoires and the careful distribution shown by the author at the time of capturing them on canvas, always taking into account their various shades.
