Lot description
Printed in 1582 by Johannnes I Sadeler (1550-1600), from "The stories of Genesis": people, arrogant in their presumption of reaching God in the heavens, began to build a large brick tower on the Euphrates river. At that time everyone spoke the same language, but God to confuse and punish them for their guilt, made sure that they do not speak the same language and no longer understand each other. People fled from the tower of Babel, dispersing on Earth, without completing the construction of the Tower. engraving 22,1 x 30,5 cm Uncommon plate, trimmed as usual in the period, burnishing of the paper
