On the dark background, the figures emerge, struck by a full and cold light that imbues the colors by lightening them. This gently brings the ring finger of the saint towards the Child Jesus who holds the wedding ring and a white flower, a five-petal daisy. It is, therefore, an image of the mystical Marriage of Saint Catherine and in fact, at the top, we can also read the typical invocation of the saint SPONSABO TE MICHI IN FIDE (I will marry you in faith).
