Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney (American, 1875-1942) "Head of a Spanish Peasant," bronze sculpture, circa 1915, depicting bust of a man with fabric wrapped head, faintly signed and dated at back, bearing Valsuani foundry mark, marble base. Bronze: 8" H x 6.5" W x 4.5" D; base: 3.75" H x 3.75" diameter. Cracks and losses to marble base.
