Maurice Mazo (1901-1989), Mission, oil on board, 30 x 24", frame: 38.5 x 32.25" Maurice Mazo was born in 1901 in Mostaganem and died in 1989 in Creteil. Mazo was a French painter and draftsman, active in Paris from 1920 to 1970. Close to the Paris School, he practiced figurative art. His colorful works, nourished by a Baroque temperament and imprints of formal tradition are mainly nudes, still lifes and scenes of Parisian life. His works after the masters also make up a large part of his production.
