This is an oil on canvas that depicts a Hawaiian plantation. It was executed by Samuel Tilden Daken, a California Impressionist best known for his paintings of California redwoods, the Sierra Nevadas, southern California, Hawaii, and the west coast of the U.S. Signed in the lower right. The overall size is 17 1/2 x 19 in. and the sight size is 9 3/4 x 11 1/2 in.
