WARWICK GOBLE (1862-1943) GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY / THE MALVERNS. 1931. 39 1/2x49 1/2 inches, 100 1/4x125 3/4 cm. S.C. Allen & Company, Ltd., London. Condition B: replaced losses in corners and margins; extensive repaired tears, creases and restoration in margins and image. Goble was an illustrator, primarily of children's books but also for magazines. He appears to have only designed four posters, two for the GWR and two for the LMS. rare. We could find no other example at auction in over 15 years.
