Michael Meyer Oil on Masonite Dream Painting. A large abstracted/Expressionist work in a style somewhere between mid-period Picasso and Matisse, showing a figure sleeping in a chair with a glass next to it, surrounded by the products of their dreams: acrobats, dancers, animals, all in a fantastic landscape, Signed Michael Meyer (or Mayer) lower right. Mid-20th c, probably American. Size: board is 28" X 36', frame is 30.25" X 38.25". CONDITION: Minor craquelure, some losses to paint surface, especially along top, bottom and right edge.
