WILLIAM BAXTER PALMER CLOSSON (MA/CT/VT, 1848-1926) "Beneath the Great Tree", possibly a study for "Three Day Guest at Wellesley", oil impasto on board, signed lower right, signed and titled verso, in artist-made papier mache gold painted frame, under glass, OS: 22 1/2" x 20 1/2". Fine condition, minor loss to frame.
