FREDERICK GARLING (1806-1873) The 'Parramatta' in Full Sail off Sydney Heads c.1870 pen, ink and watercolour signed and dated lower right: Garling 187[?] 30.5 x 47cm OTHER NOTES: The Parramatta, launched in 1866, was one of the fastest and best known of the 'Blackwall frigate' type of commercial vessels plying trade between Britain and Australia.
