Handled copy but complete, comprising 4 preliminary leaves (title, dedication, preface and “list of plates”) and 56 lithographs, 9 of which polychrome. Stamps of the Victoria & Albert Museum stating “Sold by order of he Minister of Education”. Some of the engravings are secured with tape, engraving 52 with damaged margins; acidity and other imperfections. Canvas half-binding of the time slightly fatigued.
