Lot description

Chinese Painting Signed Wu Wei: Expressive brushwork illustrates two men conferring on a dirt path. Their conversation takes place under a tree with leafless thin branches hanging overhead. A large calligraphic symbol and artist’s seal are on the upper right side. Wu Wei (ca. 1459–1508) was a Chinese landscape painter during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Wu was born in Wuchang in the Hubei province. His style names were 'Shiying and Ciweng' and his sobriquets were 'Lufu and Xiaoxian'. Wu painted landscapes and human figures in a strong, fluent, and uninhibited style, and took on many students to teach. 53 1/2" X 17 3/4" sight, 83 1/2" X 25 1/2" Shipping: We are able to pack and ship this item to an address in the United States for $25.00 via USPS Priority Mail.
