"Subway Sleepers" and "L Train", both labeled artist's proofs, spuriously dated 1935 and 1937 (after selling numerous copies of many of his prints, the artist admitted to mis-dating the works to pass them off as W.P.A.-era woodcuts by an unknown African-American printmaker of the same name, and claimed it was a relative); both matted and framed under glass. Each: image: 7.5" H x 6" W; frame: 14 3/4" x 11 3/4."
