Lot description

CLAUDE GADOUD (French 1905-1991) A POSTER, "Vins Camp Romain" original lithograph poster, printed by Camis, Paris, Paris. 63" x 47" NOTE: Still in operation today, Camp de Romain wine is produced in Laudun, France, part of the Côte du Rhône region. Here, the red, rosé, and white varieties are brandished by a team of similarly-colored Roman soldiers. The name of the wine itself references the fact that, hundreds of years ago, Laudun was home to a Roman settlement which, legend has it, was headed by Caesar himself.
