Artist: Bennie Gonzales (1924-2008); Title: "No More War"; Medium: Die on canvas; Year or Era Produced: 20th/21st Century; Signature: Lower left; Sight Area Approximate Measurement: 69.875" x 70.25" x 2"; Approximate Weight: 11 lbs; Frame: Unframed; Note: Gonzales was a US architect known for a distinctive style of Southwestern architecture which has since been widely copied. Gonzales designed most of Scottsdale, Arizona's, major municipal buildings including Scottsdale City Hall, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Civic Center Library. His resume also included hundreds of private homes and residences throughout Arizona. This painting was an objection from the artist to the Vietnam War.
