Walter Stephens Lethbridge (British, 1771-1831) two portrait miniatures of officers, circa 1796 The first an oval portrait on ivory of a naval officer in a blue coat, in gilt metal frame, the reverse with a lock of hair beside a monogrammed cartouche, the second an oval portrait on ivory of an army officer in red coat with black facings, signed to verso "W.S. Lethbridge ?96 London", in gilt metal frame. (2). H: 2 3/4 in., 3 1/4 in. PROVENANCE: Property of a New York Collector.
