Lot description

AN EXCEPTIONAL PEARL AND DIAMOND RING Set with a button-shaped pearl measuring approximately 21.15 - 21.45 x 15.25 mm, to the pavé-set diamond fern gallery and half-hoop, mounted in platinum, ring size 5½ With report no. 0612239 dated 8 January 2007 from the Gübelin Gemological Laboratory stating that the button-shaped pearl is a natural saltwater pearl; accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural saltwater pearl displays a smooth surface structure as well as a gently glowing lustre. It also stats that it is this attribute, which inspired the current owner to name this beautiful pearl "Luna", a tribute to the reminiscence of the pearl's lustre with the soft reflection of the moonshine. Natural saltwater pearls of this size, shape and quality are considered very rare.
