National Artist Ang Kiukok, considered to be one of the pioneers of Philippine figurative expressionism, executed the perfectly balanced composition of this canvas work by exploring the creative possibilities of the formal elements of art - primarily line, color, and texture - through this image of a mother lovingly holding her child. Dominating most of the pictorial space, the robust, tightly-enmeshed figures emphasize the intention of the artist here to show the purity, warmth, and all-encompassing nature of maternal love. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Finale Art File, and signed by Evita T. Sarenas and Andrew Ang
