Quick value checklist

  • Photograph card front, back, set number, rarity symbol, edition mark, holo surface, and grading label if present.
  • Separate graded cards, raw singles, sealed packs, complete sets, Japanese or Korean cards, and bulk lots.
  • Check centering, corners, whitening, scratches, dents, bends, surface wear, and authenticity concerns.

Key value drivers

Strong value usually comes from scarce cards, high grades, popular characters, clean holo surfaces, first editions, promos, sealed product, and proven demand. Bulk cards, played condition, whitening, surface scratches, and mixed modern lots need more cautious expectations.

Condition and authenticity cautions

Auction records do not prove the value of your cards. Condition, grading, authenticity, set, edition, language, surface damage, centering, and demand can materially change value.

Photo checklist

  • Front and back of each promising card, set number, rarity mark, edition symbol, holo surface angled to light, corners, edges, and grading slab label.
  • Group photos for bulk lots, plus close-ups of scratches, whitening, creases, dents, peeling, and suspected counterfeits.
