Johannes Herman Barend Koekkoek (1840–1912) was a Dutch painter best known for marine subjects and seascapes. Born in Amsterdam into the celebrated Koekkoek family of painters, he was the son of Hermanus Koekkoek I and carried forward the family tradition of maritime art. He commonly signed his work as Jan H. B. Koekkoek, the name by which he is frequently identified in auction records and museum holdings.
