Félicien Rops (1833–1898) was a Belgian printmaker, draughtsman, and painter whose career connected Brussels artistic circles with Paris and the wider fin-de-siècle culture. He began with lithography, adopted etching in 1857, and moved to Paris in 1862 before settling in France. Rops helped found the Société Libre des Beaux-Arts and the Société internationale des Aquafortistes and was a founding member of Les XX.
